If you like family sagas, if you like the south of France, if you like mysteries, this book is for you! The book takes place both in the summer of 1986; when Pierre Hugues, the oldest son of the rich Lacassagne family, drowns in a storm while sailing with his brother and sister.
Then we go to the summer of 2016, where Charles Lacassagne, the father, is now eighty years old and he decides to have an independent journalist, Jerome Bastaro, write his memoires and biography. But it doesn’t take Jerome a long time to find out that this perfect family, at least that is what everyone thinks, has secrets to hide…

A real page turner! This story takes place with a thirty year gap between 1986, where we meet the rich Lacassagne family and 2016, where we come back to the same family three decades later. Between that time lots of things have happened: the family’s oldest son dies in a drowning accident – he was the one slotted to take over his father’s business, and we learn that during the next three decades, his younger brother and sister have stepped up. But in 2016, their father is turning 80 and wants not only to step down, but also have someone write about his life and accomplishements. This is where we meet Jerome Bastero, a Parisian journalist who he hire for this task, but Jerome finds out secrets from the past, secrets that not even the remaining family members know!
